Rochdale road closures: a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm February 4 to 5am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions junction1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• A627(M), from 8pm January 15 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J19 to J21 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of National Highways.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 9pm February 5 to 5am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repair.

• M60, from 9pm February 6 to 5am February 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 8pm February 7 to 6am February 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 3 to junction 2 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 8 to 5am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 9 to 5am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions, junction 3 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm February 11 to 5am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M62, from 9pm February 12 to 6am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions Heywood Interchange to Milnrow Interchange - lane closure switching for su works on behalf of Network Rail.

• M62, from 9pm February 17 to 5am February 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 8.30pm February 18 to 5am March 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm February 19 to 5am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct four - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
