Road closures: six for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm August 7 to 6am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 20 to 22 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 8pm September 4 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm September 4 to 5am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm September 7 to 5am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J19 to J18 - lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm September 12 to 5am September 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 18 to 20 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
