Road closures: nine for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 9pm August 21 to 5am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J19 to J18 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

M60, from 9pm August 20 to 5am August 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 18 - 21 lane closures and carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

M62, from 8pm August 22 to 5am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J19 to J18 - lane closure for communications.

A627(M), from 9pm August 23 to 5am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for barriers.

A627(M), from 9pm August 7 to 6am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 20 to 22 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

M60, from 9pm August 30 to 5am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

M62, from 8pm September 4 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

M62, from 9pm September 4 to 5am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
