Road closures: more than a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 13 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8.30pm November 5 to 6am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 19 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 8.30pm November 5 to 5am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

• A627(M), from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm November 7 to 6am November 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 lane closure and closure of slip due to works by Rochdale Council.

• M62, from 9pm November 7 to 6am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22, slip road closure for technology works, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.

• M60, from 8.30pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 21 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• A663, from 9pm November 13 to 5am November 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 19 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 9pm November 18 to 5am November 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 8.30pm November 19 to 6am November 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 20 - 18 lane closures and slip road closure due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to structure maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm November 21 to 6am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
