Road closures: more than a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 16 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further 13 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 9pm June 6 to 6am June 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 18 - 20 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9.30pm June 6 to 6am June 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 19 - 18 lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

• M60, from 8pm June 7 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8am June 11 to 5am June 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Closed on Police instruction.

• M62, from 8pm June 13 to 5am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 - 22 lane closures due to signs.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 13 to 6am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm June 15 to 5am June 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 21 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• A663, from 9pm June 16 to 5am June 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 19 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• A627(M), from 9pm June 16 to 6am June 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 17 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 10pm June 18 to 6am June 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J18 to J20 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 10pm June 18 to 6am June 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to 20 - Lane closures and carriageway closure for communications.

• A663, from 6am to 9am on June 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 exit slip road closures for technology works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
