Road closures: more than a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am May 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

And a further 14 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm April 11 to 6am April 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J18 to J20 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A663, from 9pm April 11 to 5am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 21 to junction 20 - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure and slip road closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm April 12 to 6am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm April 12 to 6am April 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to M62, junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to survey works.

• M62, from 8pm April 15 to 5am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - Hard Shoulder Only for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 18 to 6am April 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm April 20 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 to 21 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm April 20 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm April 23 to 6am April 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J19 to J18 - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 9pm April 23 to 5am April 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to junction 21 - carriageway closure for maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm April 25 to 5am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 19 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm April 25 to 6am April 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 25 to 6am May 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
