Road closures: more than a dozen for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 15 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M66, from 8.30pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

• M62, from 9pm November 1 to 6am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for drainage.

And a further 13 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 10am to 4pm on November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for technology works.

• M62, from 8pm November 15 to 6am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, slip road closures and Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.

• M62, from 8pm November 17 to 5am November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 - lanes three and four closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm November 18 to 5am November 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers.

• M60, from 9pm November 20 to 6am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 18 to jct 20, lane closures for technology works.

• M62, from 9pm November 20 to 5am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers.

• M62, from 8pm November 21 to 5am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 - lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 8pm November 22 to 6am November 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm November 22 to 6am November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J20 to J22 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M westbound, Slattocks link lane closure due to drainage.

• M62, from 8pm November 25 to 6am November 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 - lane closure for signs - erection.

• A627(M), from 8pm November 27 to 5am December 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to J1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M66, from 8pm November 27 to 6am November 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions J1 to J4 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
