Road closures: more than a dozen for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 19 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 13 of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm June 3 to 5am June 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct four - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm May 2 to 6am June 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 19 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to drainage.

• M62, from 3am May 9 to 11pm July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

And a further 16 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A663, from 8pm June 5 to 6am June 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to 21 - carriageway closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 9pm June 5 to 6am June 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J21 to J22 - lane closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm June 7 to 5am June 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, , junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm June 8 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J19 to J21 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Closed on behalf of Amey.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 9 to 6am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 12 to 6am June 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 18 - 20 lane closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 8pm June 13 to 6am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J18 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M62, from 9pm June 13 to 5am June 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M62, from 10pm June 13 to 6am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 20 to jct 18, lane closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 10pm June 14 to 6am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 21 to jct 19, lane closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm June 15 to 5am June 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 - lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm June 15 to 6am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 - 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm June 16 to 5am June 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 22 to junction19 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M60, from 9pm June 17 to 5am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M62, from 9pm June 19 to 5am June 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to 22 lane closures and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
