Road closures: five for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M62, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm January 9 to 5am January 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M North and southbound, junction 1 - four carriageway closure due reconstruction works.

• M62, from 9pm January 16 to 6am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 7am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
