Road closures: five for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm September 23 to 5am September 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M North and southbound, junction 1 - four carriageway closure due reconstruction works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 9pm September 25 to 5am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closure for sign erection.

• M62, from 8pm October 2 to 6am October 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J18 to J20 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J20 to J22 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 8pm October 4 to 6am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions J1 to J4 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
