Road closures: eight for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm May 2 to 6am June 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 19 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to drainage.

M62, from 3am May 9 to 11pm July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M62, from 8pm May 15 to 6am May 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

M62, from 8pm May 16 to 6am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

A627(M), from 8.30pm May 18 to 5am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627(M) northbound, jct three - four lane closures due to sign works.

M60, from 9pm May 19 to 5am May 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

M62, from 6am to 8.30am on May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 20 lane closures for carriageway repairs.

A627(M), from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to Rochdale Bypass - carriageway closure for communication works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
