Road closures: eight for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 6am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J19 to J19 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M62, from 8.30pm February 27 to 5am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 21 to junction 20 - lane closure for horticulture.

M60, from 9pm February 27 to 6am March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

M60, from 9pm February 27 to 5am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to 20 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

M62, from 9pm March 1 to 5am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M62, from 9pm March 2 to 5am March 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A627(M), from 9pm March 13 to 6am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 20 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
