Road closures: eight for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8pm January 15 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J19 to J21 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of National Highways.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M66, from 9pm January 29 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm January 29 to 5am January 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repair.

• M60, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J21 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J18 to J21 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm February 7 to 5am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 9 to 5am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions, junction 3 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm February 12 to 6am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions Heywood Interchange to Milnrow Interchange - lane closure switching for su works on behalf of Network Rail.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
