Road closures: dozens of for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 25 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 12 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm March 14 to 6am March 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 16 to 19 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A627(M), from 7.30am March 14 to 5am April 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, J3 to J2 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am May 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

• M60, from 9pm March 16 to 6am August 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

And a further 19 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm March 21 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J20 to J18 - Lane closure for communications.

• M66, from 8.30pm March 21 to 5am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M66, from 8.30pm March 21 to 5am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 - three - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 21 to 6am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 16 to 19 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm March 26 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 21 to 18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 26 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 - 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm March 26 to 5am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M60, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 20 - Lane closures for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 27 to 5am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 to 21 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 28 to 5am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 to 21 lane closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm March 28 to 7am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 28 to 5am April 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 2 - Lane closure for drainage works.

• M60, from 9pm March 29 to 5am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to 18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 31 to 5am April 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to 22 lane closures and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 20 - Lane closures for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm April 3 to 5am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to 22 - Lane closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

• M62, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm April 4 to 5am April 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to 18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
