Road closures: almost two dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 23 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 11 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm March 12 to 5am March 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm March 13 to 6am March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J20 to J18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm February 17 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, slip road closures and lane closures for carriageway improvements, diversion via National highways and local authority network.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am May 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

And a further 18 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 7.30am March 14 to 5am April 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, J3 to J2 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 8pm March 14 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 - 19 lane closures due to resurfacing.

• M62, from 9pm March 14 to 6am March 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 14 to 6am March 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 16 to 19 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 9pm March 14 to 5am March 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 2 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M62, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for barrier repair.

• M62, from 9pm March 17 to 5am March 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm March 19 to 6am March 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 20 - Lane closures for Structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 21 to 6am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 16 to 19 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm March 26 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 21 to 18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 26 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 - 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 20 - Lane closures for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 27 to 5am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 to 21 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 8.30pm March 28 to 5am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 to 21 lane closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm March 28 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise, junction 16 - 20 lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 28 to 5am April 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 2 - Lane closure for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
