Road closures: almost two dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 23 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 20 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• A627(M), from 8pm January 31 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, J1 to J4 - Lane closure Switching for Structure - maintenance.

• A56, from 8pm January 24 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - 0 lane closures carriageway closures due to lining works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am May 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further 19 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8am to 5pm on February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 hard shoulder closure due to sign works.

• A627(M), from 8pm February 7 to 5am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 3 to 4, M62 eastbound, junction 19 to 21, lane closures and carriageway closure due to sign removal.

• M62, from 9pm February 7 to 6am February 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to J22 - Lane closure for Construction improvement/Upgrade.

• M60, from 8pm February 8 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 20 to 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm February 8 to 5am February 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise j18 to j18 - carriageway closure for signs - Erection.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 9 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 2 - one - Lane closure for signs - Erection.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 9 to 5am February 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 4 to 3 - carriageway closure for communications.

• A627(M), from 8pm February 10 to 5am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, junction 2 to 4, M62 westbound, junction 20, lane closures due to communication works.

• M62, from 8pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closures for barrier repair works.

• M62, from 9pm February 11 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 - 22 lanes three and four closure due to barrier repairs.

• M62, from 9pm February 14 to 6am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to J22 - Lane closure for Construction improvement/Upgrade.

• M60, from 9pm February 14 to 5am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to j19 - Lane closure for signs removal.

• M62, from 12.30am to 6am on February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J19 to J21 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm February 16 to 5am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to J21 - Lane closure for signs - Erection.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 to 5am February 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, j3 to j2 - carriageway closure for Gantry.

• M62, from 8pm February 17 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 - 21 lane one closure due to signs.

• M66, from 8pm February 18 to 6am February 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 2 exit slip roads lane closures due to bridge inspections.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 18 to 5am February 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 2 lane closures for sign erection.

• M60, from 7.30am February 21 to 5am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J20 - Lane closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
