Road closures: almost a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 8.30pm January 14 to 5am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• M62, from 9pm January 9 to 6am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 18 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M62, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm January 16 to 6am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 7am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

• M62, from 9pm January 23 to 6am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M66, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

• M60, from 8pm January 26 to 6am February 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J19 to J19 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm January 30 to 6am February 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J21 to J23 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
