Road closures: almost a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 8.30pm October 23 to 5am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• A627(M), from 9pm October 1 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm October 27 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 19 lane closure due to works by Rochdale Council.

• M62, from 9pm October 27 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repairs.

• M62, from 8pm October 28 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 lane closure and closure of slip due to works by Rochdale Council.

• A627(M), from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 8.30pm November 5 to 6am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 19 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 8.30pm November 5 to 5am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
