Road closures: almost a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm July 22 to 6am July 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M North and southbound, junction 1 - four carriageway closure due reconstruction works.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 4 to 6am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• A627(M), from 8pm July 9 to 6am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, j20 to j21 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm July 26 to 6am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for barrier repair works.

• M62, from 8pm July 28 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for structures maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm July 29 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 11pm July 30 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to 18 - Lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 8pm August 1 to 5am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, j21 to j20 - Lane closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
