Road closures: almost a dozen for Rochdale drivers this week

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 10pm June 27 to 5am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 East and westbound, junction 19 - 20 carriageway closure due to works by Network Rail to remove graffitti and damage from the Bridge.

• M62, from 9pm June 29 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 19 to junction 18 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• M62, from 9pm June 30 to 6am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 21 to junction 19 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• A627(M), from 8pm July 4 to 3.30am July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M J A664 WEST OF KIRKHOLT LEAVE N, ROCHDALE, ROCHDALE - works on the verge on the slip road off A627M.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 4 to 5am July 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M62, from 9pm July 4 to 6am July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, j22 to j20 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M62, from 8pm July 8 to 6am July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A627(M), from 8pm July 9 to 6am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, j20 to j21 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
