Road closures: a dozen for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm October 14 to 5am October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to junction 21 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

And a further 11 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 9pm October 16 to 5am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M66, from 9pm October 20 to 5am October 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

• M66, from 9pm October 21 to 5am October 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct three - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm October 22 to 5am October 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct four - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm October 25 to 5am October 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 8.30pm October 26 to 5am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm October 27 to 5am October 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, , junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm October 28 to 6am October 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm October 29 to 5am October 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 20 - Lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 8pm October 30 to 5am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for technology works.

• M62, from 9pm October 30 to 5am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
