Road closures: two for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A663, from 8pm December 5 2022 to 6am January 7 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Foxdenton - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm December 16 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22, Lane closure for sign works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
