Road closures: two for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm August 30 to 5am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, junction 1 to junction 2 - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• A663, from 8pm to 10pm on September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, from M60, junction 21 to end of dualling south of, junction B6189 lane closure due to replacement of manhole frame and cover.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
