Road closures: three for Oldham drivers over the next fortnight
Drivers in and around Oldham will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A663, from 8pm September 21 to 6am September 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, works on footway and Lane one closure outside No 538 due to replacement of old lead supply.
• A663, from 7pm to 10pm on September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Middleton Road to Eustace Street lane closures due to drainage.
• A627(M), from 8pm September 30 to 5am October 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to junction 1 A627M - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
