Road closures: six for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Oldham will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

A663, from 8pm December 5 2022 to 6am March 4 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Foxdenton - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A663, from 9.30am February 13 to 3.30pm February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Lane one closure outside and opposite 239 for United Utilities works.

M60, from 8pm February 20 to 6am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J24 to J22 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

A663, from 8pm February 20 to 6am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions A663 to A627M - lane closure for electrical works.

M60, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Clock and Anticlockwise, junction 22 to 23 Lane one closure due to horticulture works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
