Road closures: six for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Oldham will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 8.30pm January 14 to 5am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M62, from 9pm January 9 to 6am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 18 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

M62, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

A627(M), from 9pm January 15 to 5am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Moston Lane to A627(M) lane closure due to maintenance works.

A663, from 8pm December 5 2022 to 6am January 31 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Foxdenton - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
