Road closures: six for Oldham drivers this week

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 9pm September 26 to 5am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Mough lane to Long lane - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

A663, from 8.30pm November 1 to 5am November 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Broadgate to Gorse St - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

A663, from 8pm November 7 to 5am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 diversion Route for works at Grimshaw Lane Railway Bridge.

A627(M), from 8pm November 9 to 6am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, Broadway to A627 J1 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
