Road closures: seven for Oldham drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Oldham will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A627(M), from 8pm January 29 to 5am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Rd to Chadderton Rab - carriageway closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• A663, from 8pm January 30 to 11pm January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, at, junction with Canon Dolan Way lane closure due to works for TfGM.

• M60, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J21 to J21 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• A663, from 8pm February 2 to 6am February 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 20 to 22 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 4 to 5am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions junction1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• A663, from 8pm February 10 to 5am February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Long Lane to Semple Way - lane closure for white lining/road markings.

• A663, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, at, junction with Lydia Becker Way Lane closure due to Utility repair and maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
