Road closures: seven for Oldham drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Oldham will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Oldham will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 8pm June 6 to 5am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Moston Lane East to A627M J1 - lane closure switching for signs.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M62, from 9pm June 26 to 5am June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

A663, from 9pm June 26 to 5am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Jardine Way to Milton Drive - carriageway closure for electrical works.

A663, from 9.30am June 27 to 3.30pm August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663/A627M from, junction A669 to junction B6189 including dualling works on footway for installation of New Water Main.

A627(M), from 8pm June 28 to 5am June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound, J2 to J3 - lane closure for communications.

A627(M), from 9pm July 1 to 5am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 2 - carriageway closure for carriageway- reconstruction/renewal.

M62, from 8pm July 10 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to junction 21, slip road closure for inspections, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
