Road closures: five for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Oldham will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Clock and Anticlockwise, junction 22 to 23 Lane one closure due to horticulture works.

A627(M), from 8pm February 20 to 6am May 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions A663 to A627M - lane closure for electrical works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A663, from 8pm March 6 to 11pm March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Derwent Road to Hunt Lane, lane closure due to maintenance works.

M62, from 8pm March 9 to 5am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

M60, from 8pm March 12 to 6am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J22 to J23 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
