Road closures: five for Oldham drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Oldham will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Oldham will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 8pm January 2 to 5am January 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Long Lane to Semple Way - lane closure for white lining/road markings.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A663, from 8.30pm January 11 to 2am January 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Middleton Road to Eustace Street lane closure due to utility works.

M62, from 9pm January 11 to 5am January 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

A663, from 8pm January 18 to 5am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, Broadgate to Mough Lane - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A663, from 8pm January 19 to 5am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Gorse St to Foxdenton Lane - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
