Road closures: five for Oldham drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Oldham will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 8.30pm August 24 to 5am August 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 8.30pm August 30 to 5am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 23 to junction 21 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

M60, from 8.30pm September 1 to 6am September 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 21 to junction 23 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

M60, from 8.30pm September 3 to 5am September 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 21 - 24 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

M62, from 9pm September 4 to 5am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
