Road closures: almost a dozen for Oldham drivers this week

Drivers in and around Oldham will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9.30am March 9 to 3.30pm March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663/A627M northbound, Lane closure due to works by United Utilities.

• A663, from 9pm March 13 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Foxdenton Lane to Middleton Road - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• A663, from 9pm March 13 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, Middleton Road to Foxdenton Lane - Lane closure for drainage.

• M62, from 8pm February 17 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 22 to junction 23, slip road closures and lane closures for carriageway improvements, diversion via National highways and local authority network.

• A627(M), from 7am March 12 to 5pm April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, from Foxdenton to A627M lane closure for carriageway Reconstruction.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J23 to J20 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for barrier repair.

• M60, from 8pm March 16 to 6am March 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J23 to J25 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm March 17 to 5am March 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 28 to 5am May 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, from Middleton Road to A627M carriageway closure for Sign Erection.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
