Oldham road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Oldham's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A663, from 9.30am September 15 to 3.30pm September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, from, junction A669 to B6189 including dualling works on footway to lay duct.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A663, from 8pm to 10pm on September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 A627M from, junction A669 TO J B6189 Iincluding dualling to replace manhole cover.

• A663, from 9pm September 26 to 5am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Mough lane to Long lane - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
