Oldham road closures: three for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Oldham's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm August 14 to 6am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 22 to junction 23 - lane closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 5am to 9.30am on August 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 21 entry slip road closure due to traffic light repairs.

• A663, from 8.30pm August 24 to 5am August 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
