Oldham road closures: six for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Oldham's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Lydia Becker Way to Foxdenton Lane, lane closure utility works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A627(M), from 9.30am to 3.30pm on January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627(M) northbound, jct one and two entry slip road lane closures due to litter.

A627(M), from 8pm January 29 to 5am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Rd to Chadderton Rab - carriageway closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J21 to J21 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

A663, from 8pm February 2 to 6am February 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 20 to 22 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

A627(M), from 9pm February 4 to 5am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions junction1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
