Oldham road closures: seven for motorists to avoid this week

Oldham's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 8.30pm November 13 to 5am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers.

A663, from 9.30am November 4 to 3.30pm November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 works on footway outside Nimble Nook service Station for installation of cable.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm November 16 to 5am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for communications.

A627(M), from 8pm November 18 to 6am November 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, Broadway to A627 J1 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M62, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to structure maintenance works.

A663, from 8.30pm November 20 to 5am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 21 lane closure and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm November 23 to 5.30am November 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 23 to 21 lane closures and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
