Oldham road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Oldham's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 9pm February 11 to 5am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A663, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, at, junction with Lydia Becker Way Lane closure due to Utility repair and maintenance works.

A663, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Long Lane to Semple Way - lane closure for white lining/road markings.

A663, from 11am to 2pm on February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Broadway to Mough Lane - lane closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 8pm February 16 to 6am February 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, one to 4 - Lane closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

M62, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 9pm February 26 to 5am March 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to J1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
