Oldham road closures: nine for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Oldham's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8pm February 16 to 6am February 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, one to 4 - Lane closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 26 to 5am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to J1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M62, from 8pm February 27 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J21 to J22 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, slip road closure and lane closures for carriageway repairs, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.

• M60, from 9pm February 29 to 6am March 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J22 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 8pm March 4 to 8pm March 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions A663 Broadway / Middleton Road to A627(M) - carriageway closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

• M60, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J20 to J21 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm March 4 to 5am May 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 21 to junction 23 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
