Oldham road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Oldham's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm May 15 to 6am May 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J20 to J21 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.

A663, from 8pm April 24 to 5am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Moston Lane East to A627M J1 - lane closure switching for signs.

A663, from 8pm May 5 to 5am May 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Foxdenton - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

A627(M), from 9pm May 31 to 3am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Rd to junction 1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
