Oldham road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

Oldham's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A663, from 8pm December 5 2022 to 6am February 18 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Foxdenton - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

• M60, from 8pm January 30 to 3am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 22 exit slip road lane closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm January 30 to 3am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 22 entry slip road lane closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 10am to 4pm on January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J21 to J22 - hard shoulder only for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
