Oldham's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A663, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound and southbound, Lydia Becker Way to Foxdenton Lane, lane closure utility works.

A663, from 8pm January 18 to 5am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, Broadgate to Mough Lane - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A663, from 8pm January 19 to 5am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Gorse St to Foxdenton Lane - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A663, from 9pm January 20 to 5am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 both directions Middleton Rd to Park View - lane closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 8pm January 29 to 5am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Rd to Chadderton Rab - carriageway closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
