Oldham road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Oldham's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm December 10 to 5am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise junction23 to 21 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 8pm November 29 to 6am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 both directions, junction 1 to Holinwood Ave - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

A627(M), from 8pm November 27 to 5am December 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to J1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 9pm December 13 to 5am December 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J21 to J23 - lane closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

A663, from 9.30am December 14 to 3.30pm December 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Road to Park View lane closure due to maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
