And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start this week:

A663, from 8pm November 7 to 5am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 diversion Route for works at Grimshaw Lane Railway Bridge.

M62, from 9pm November 7 to 6am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22, slip road closure for technology works, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.

A627(M), from 8pm November 9 to 6am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, Broadway to A627 J1 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M62, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to structure maintenance works.

A663, from 8.30pm November 20 to 5am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 21 lane closure and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
