Oldham's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Oldham's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A663, from 9.30am July 17 to 3.30pm July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663/A627M from, junction A669 to junction B6189 including dualling works on footway for installation of New Water Main with portable traffic signals in place.

A627(M), from 9pm July 1 to 5am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 2 - carriageway closure for carriageway- reconstruction/renewal.

A663, from 9.30am June 27 to 3.30pm August 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663/A627M from, junction A669 to junction B6189 including dualling works on footway for installation of New Water Main.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 8pm July 27 to 5am July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J20 to J21 - lane closure for communications.

A627(M), from 8.30pm July 28 to 5am July 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A663 northbound, Middleton Road to A627(M) lane closures and carriageway closures due to drainage works.

M62, from 9pm July 31 to 5am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for sign erection.

M62, from 9pm August 2 to 5am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J21 - carriageway closure for communications.

M62, from 8pm August 7 to 5am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for signs - erection.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
