Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 10 Oldham establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Oldham’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: LWC Drinks Ltd at Greengate Industrial Estate, Greenside Way, Chadderton, Oldham; rated on July 5

• Rated 5: Cafe 1947 at Housing Units, Wickentree Lane, Failsworth, Oldham; rated on July 1

• Rated 5: Subway at 455-457 Broadway, Chadderton, Oldham; rated on July 1

• Rated 5: The Cafe, Tesco Family Dining at Tesco Supermarket, Ashton Road West, Failsworth, Oldham; rated on July 1

• Rated 5: Wilberry's at 83 High Street, Uppermill, Oldham; rated on July 1

• Rated 5: Sweet Obsession at 270a Manchester Street, Oldham; rated on June 28

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
