Road closures: five for Manchester drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Manchester will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Manchester will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A5103, from 9pm October 15 to 5am October 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 westbound, junction 1 to junction 4 - carriageway closure for Horticulture.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 8am to 5pm on October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 3 to junction 3 - hard shoulder only for electrical works.

M60, from 9pm October 16 to 5am October 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 5 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

M60, from 9pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 5 to junction 3 - lane closure for electrical works.

A5103, from 9pm October 30 to 6am November 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 both directions M56 Sharston Bypass to M60 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
