Manchester road closures: six for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
Manchester's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M56, from 8.30pm November 7 to 5am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 3 to junction 1 - carriageway closure for horticulture.
• A5103, from 8.30pm November 9 to 5am November 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 4 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for horticulture.
• A663, from 6pm November 10 to 10pm November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, Lane one closure outside No 621 due to works by United Utilities.

• M60, from 8pm November 14 2023 to 6am February 3 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 20 to 3 - lane closures and slip road closure for signs - erection on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
