New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Manchester’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Manchester’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Pie & Ale, at Units 1 & 2 The Hive, 47-51 Lever Street, Manchester was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 10.

And Pukht Food, at Unit 3 Hatch Court, 103 Oxford Road, Manchester was also given a score of five on August 8.

It means that of Manchester's 1,489 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,015 (68%) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
