New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Manchester’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Manchester’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The Ben Chippy, at 314 Moston Lane, Manchester was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 3.

And Freddy's Chicken and Pizza, at 5 Lansdowne Road, Manchester was also given a score of three on July 17.

It means that of Manchester's 639 takeaways with ratings, 230 (36%) have ratings of five and just 10 have zero ratings.
